Enrolment Procedure


Enrolling at Pal Buddhist School as an international student involves a thorough and comprehensive process, reflecting our high expectations for academic excellence and personal development. We are dedicated to guiding you through each step to ensure a smooth transition into our educational community.

Enrolment Procedure for International Students

STEP 1. Applying for Enrolment

To apply for enrolment at Pal Buddhist School for Kindergarten to Year 12, you will need to provide certain mandatory supporting documentation, including:

  • Most recent 2 school reports
  • IELTS or other English proficiency results
  • Student's birth certificate or passport
  • * Immunization records 
  • * Proof of address (e.g., driver's license or utility bill)
  • * Medical action plan for medical conditions (e.g., allergies, asthma, etc.)
  • * Support/learning difficulty reports

⚠️ Please provide all the required documents to avoid any delays in processing your application. Please keep in mind that a mandatory non-refundable $200 application fee applies. STEP 2. Entrance Exam and Interview

Once your application form and documents are processed, prospective enrollees are required to book an entrance exam and interview. The entrance exam conducted is an online mathematics exam, followed by an interview. The interview aims to provide our enrolments team with an observation of the student's English proficiency and social behaviour.

STEP 3. Enrolment Interview

After the Entrance Exam and Interview is completed, an interview with our school executive will also need to be booked. These interviews are essential to assess whether the student and their family align with the school's principles and moral expectations.

STEP 4. Letter of Offer

Prospective enrollees will receive either a non-acceptance letter or an acceptance letter. If the student is accepted, families are required to:

  • Sign the Acceptance Form
  • Pay the enrolment deposit of one semester

STEP 5. Additional Enrolment Information

Once all requirements outlined in the Acceptance Form (Letter of Offer) are received and processed, the family will receive an email asking for:


  • Nomination of homestay and/or guardianship (if unable to arrange, the school will arrange accordingly)
     
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).

STEP 6. Confirmation of Enrolment

After all required documents and information have been received and processed, the school will issue a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).

STEP 7. Applying for a VISA

The student's agent will apply for a student VISA after all information has been confirmed and received.

STEP 8. Successful VISA Application

Once student's VISA is granted, we will contact the parent/agent for a copy of the VISA certificate, air tickets, and whether PBS airport pickup services is required ($200 fee). Homestay and/or guardians will also be informed of student's arrival.

STEP 9. Pre-Induction Requirements

Once the student has arrived, guardian/parents will be sent a pre-induction email, which will ask them to do the following:

  • Purchase a 4D Learning device (Surface Pro or iPad Pro with a pencil)
  • Set up device following our technology videos
  • Set up Student and Parent Portal accounts
  • Schedule an Enrolment Induction Date
  • Make the remaining enrolment deposit payment, with a $1000 deduction if acceptance fee had already been paid.

STEP 9. Enrolment Induction

Induction date will entail:

  • Uniform fitting
  • Formal orientation presentation and signing of forms
  • Meeting the student's year coordinator
  • General device check
  • Purchases of resources and technology
  • Payment of outstanding fees
