At Pal Buddhist School the development of leadership skills in a supportive environment is one of the learning opportunities offered to all students. It is our aim to foster responsibility, initiative, independence and leadership in all our students who will be given many opportunities to engage in leadership activities throughout their school careers. Having effective student leaders supports the development of responsible behaviours, a positive school tone and encourages students to role model the school values of Respect, Teamwork, Honesty, Integrity and Creativity. There are a variety of student leadership opportunities that include student representation and extra-curricula involvement.
The Student Representative Council (SRC) is a student organisation at Pal Buddhist School dedicated to representing its student body as well as representing the school to the community. As rolemodels for the school, they must embody the virtues and ethics of a responsible and committed leader while working towards building the school internally and externally. The SRC at Pal Buddhist School have accomplished many things this year, including organising the Nepal Earthquake Charity Appeal, cleaning in the local temples, as well as organise social initiatives to foster school spirit among the students.
