Homestay and Accommodation

At Pal Buddhist School, we understand that the safety and well-being of our international students are of the utmost importance. That's why we provide the highest quality of homestay services, and we work extensively with parents and homestay providers to ensure that our students are safe and happy.

We believe that open communication is key to ensuring that our students are thriving in their new environment, and as such, we're in regular contact with the home parents to provide updates on their child's well-being, conduct, and general progress. Our International Student Coordinator also provides ongoing support to our students after they enrol, ensuring that parents and guardians are regularly contacted to support their child's new life in Australia.

To help our students settle into life in Australia, we pair them with a "buddy" to help them socialise and adjust to our school. We also monitor our students' attendance, academic performance, and welfare, ensuring that they have access to specialised support for English language acquisition through our English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) classes taught by trained teachers.

International students have the option to live with their parents or relatives, or they can choose to stay with a local family (if aged 13 years and older). Homestay with a local family is the most popular option, as it's a fantastic way for international students to experience life in Sydney, immerse themselves in Australian culture, and improve their English language skills.
